The Majority Soldered Complete Copper Distiller is a copper moonshine still for people who like to finish the job with their own hands. At Fort Wilkins in Pittsfield, New Hampshire, we do nearly all of the fabrication, assembly, and soldering. You make one last joint: soldering the cone onto the pot in your own shop. It comes in 11 sizes, from 6 gallons up to 100 gallons.
Think of it as the middle ground between a finished still and our you-solder DIY kits. You get the pride of building your own still without spending weeks cutting, fitting, soldering, and fixing mistakes. The hard part is already done. The final touch, alchemist, is yours. Every still is built from thick 20 oz, 22 gauge American copper and joined with lead-free silver solder. That copper is much heavier than the thin metal on cheap imported stills. The Majority Soldered Series was designed for exactly that reason. We complete nearly all of the fabrication, assembly, and soldering work, leaving only the final cone-to-pot connection for you to complete in your own shop.

What do I have to build myself on the Majority Soldered still?
Just one joint. We do nearly all of the cutting, fitting, assembly, and soldering at Fort Wilkins, and you solder the cone onto the pot in your own shop. Everything else is done for you.
Is silver solder included, and what tools will I need for the cone joint?
That detail isn't listed in the product description. Please call the owner at 1-502-337-3944 before you order, and he can tell you exactly what comes in the box and what you'll need. We do sell lead-free silver solder in our moonshine still parts section.
Is it legal to own this still?
Under US federal law it is legal to buy and own a still of any size and use it for distilled water, essential oils, and similar non-alcohol uses. Distilling alcohol to drink at home is not legal without a federal permit from the TTB, even for personal use, though a free TTB fuel alcohol permit allows making ethanol for fuel. State and local laws vary and can be stricter, so check yours; we don't give legal advice.
