This 30 gallon copper moonshine still is a complete setup for people who want to run big batches. The 30 gallons is the pot's capacity, so you can fill it with up to 30 gallons of mash or water. It comes with the pot, a stainless EZ Seal cap, a 6 gallon thumper with a 4 inch fruit port, a 6 gallon worm with a 1/2" copper coil, and a temperature gauge. It ships fully assembled and water tested, so you don't have to solder anything.
Each still is hand built at Fort Wilkins in Pittsfield, New Hampshire. We use thick 20 oz, 22 gauge American copper and lead-free silver solder. That copper is much heavier than the thin copper on cheap imported stills, so it stays strong through years of heat and use. It's a tool built for a hands-on alchemist working with copper, heat and vapor, and it's covered by our lifetime warranty.

All of our units are sold in terms of CAPACITY. This means that if it is listed as a 10 gallon moonshine still, that means you can fill it up with 10 gallons of mash, which will end up giving you whatever your alcohol content is inside the pot. Example: if you have a 10 gallon pot, and 10% alcohol by volume in your mash, and you distill it, you will end up getting 1 gallon of pure liquor.
Please also note, just because it says "moonshine still" doesn't mean it only makes moonshine. These units make a VERY wide range of spirits, as well as so much more.

These two add ons make your unit more efficient and effective. The easy seal cap makes it so you don’t need to apply wheat or flour paste on the pot to seal it every time. You won’t need to clean up any messy paste because you will have a food safe silicone gasket and a stainless steel butterfly clamp and 4 inch stainless ferrule added on the top of your pot. This way you can seal your unit for the distillation process by a clamping system instead of the old school paste method. Sealing it this way is highly efficient.
You can also add on the 4 inch port on the thumper as well. It’s the same set up — 4 inch tri clamp, 4 inch gasket, 4 inch stainless ferrule and 4 inch stainless cap — but this time it’s installed on the top of the thumper so you can infuse different flavors into your product. Having the 4 inch port added on to the thumper also makes it a lot easier to clean the thumper when you decide to run different flavors through the distiller.

Frequently asked questions
How much will I get from a full 30 gallon pot?
It depends on how much alcohol is in your mash. For example, 30 gallons of mash at 10% alcohol by volume holds about 3 gallons of pure alcohol. Keep in mind that distilling alcohol to drink requires a federal TTB permit.
What do the EZ Seal cap and the thumper fruit port do?
The EZ Seal cap seals the pot with a silicone gasket and a stainless clamp, so you don't need messy flour or wheat paste. The 4 inch port on the thumper lets you add fruit or other flavors, and it makes the thumper much easier to clean between runs.
Is it legal to own this still?
Yes. Under US federal law you can buy and own a still of any size and use it to make distilled water, essential oils and similar things. Making alcohol to drink at home is not legal without a federal TTB permit, even for personal use. A free TTB fuel alcohol permit covers ethanol for fuel.
