Copper Proofing Parrot
Lifetime warranty · Hand built in Pittsfield, NH · Checkout is handled securely by our sister store MoonshineStills.com.
The Copper Proofing Parrot lets you check the proof of your spirit while the still is running. It is a handcrafted copper holder for your hydrometer or alcohol meter. As distillate flows from your still, the parrot keeps your meter in place, so you can read the proof the whole time. It is made for any distiller who wants precise readings and more control over every run.
Proof changes as a run moves from heads to hearts to tails. Watching that number live helps you know when to make each cut, so you keep the clean hearts for a smoother, better-tasting result. The parrot is solid copper and built to last beside your still. Every alchemist needs a way to measure the work, and this is that tool. Shipping is free within the Continental U.S., and worldwide shipping is available.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Copper Proofing Parrot come with a hydrometer or alcohol meter?
The description says the parrot holds your hydrometer or alcohol meter, but it does not list one as included. We sell hydrometers on our Moonshine Still Parts & Accessories page. If you want to confirm what comes in the box, call the owner at 1-502-337-3944.
How does a proofing parrot help me make my cuts?
The parrot keeps your meter in the flow of spirit coming off the still, so you see the proof in real time. As the run moves from heads to hearts to tails, the proof changes, and that tells you when to switch jars. For a step-by-step look at cuts, read How to Run a Copper Still.
How much does shipping cost?
