Out Shining The Competition
By Alchemist G. G. Wilkins
Some men spend their entire lives trying to fit in.
I never suffered from that affliction.
The people of Pittsfield knew my name long before I ever became a character in history books. Some knew me as a dentist. Others knew me as a fur trader, saloon keeper, entrepreneur, coin stamper, inventor, or proprietor of Fort Wilkins. The newspapers seemed to know me best of all.
Not everyone liked me.
In fact, there were times it seemed half the town wanted me run out of it.
There were lawsuits.
There were accusations.
There were investigations.
There were rumors that spread faster than wildfire and stories that grew taller with every telling.
Some said I stamped my name on more coins than any man in America.
They may have been right.
Some said I was a genius.
Others said I was completely mad.
They may have both been right.
One thing nobody ever accused me of being was forgettable.
While other businessmen purchased newspaper advertisements, I stamped my name directly onto coins and sent them into circulation. While others hung signs outside their businesses, I placed a live bear outside Fort Wilkins and let curiosity do the advertising for me. The good people of Pittsfield could not decide whether to visit because they admired me or because they wanted to see what foolish thing I would do next.
Either way, they came.
That same spirit of innovation lives on today.
A quality copper still should stand apart from the crowd. It should not be ordinary. It should not be built to the lowest standard. It should be built with craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the determination to create something better than what came before.
For centuries, copper has been the preferred material for distillation. It conducts heat efficiently, helps remove undesirable sulfur compounds, and has proven itself generation after generation. Long before modern factories existed, craftsmen trusted copper because it worked.
Some traditions survive because they deserve to.
Yet progress belongs to those willing to challenge convention.
Throughout my life I was constantly searching for better ways to advertise, better ways to conduct business, and better ways to build things. That same relentless pursuit of improvement inspired Flame-Flow™ technology, a patented advancement designed to improve efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and help produce exceptional results.
The goal is simple.
Build something worth talking about.
Build something worth remembering.
Build something that outshines the competition.
The newspapers remembered me for the bear, the coins, the controversies, the businesses, the accusations, and the adventures.
I would rather be remembered for building things that lasted.
