Distillation units

Our distillation units are built with easy to use brass fittings which make the unit collapsobale and easy to take apart to store . the brass nut set up is a watts A-335 and watts LFA-370 and will come completely soldered and ready to spin together.  if there are any leaks coming from the seam there, take a couple pairs of grips and torque down and loosen a couple times to work the copper to be completely formed the the 45 degree angle on the inside of that nut.  our distillation units are built to be able to be run on an electric or gas stove indoors however, we don't recommend it.  you should keep in mind that if there is heat under your still, there needs to be liquid in the pot or it will over heat, this is very important, you cannot over heat your unit, what you need to do is let mother nature make her course and don't worry about the time

the worm needs to be filled up with ice water, most people use a garden hose and put it on at a very low pressure so the worm constantly gets new water.  you can easily install a garden hose to your worm with a drain, or you can inquire Home Moonshiners Inc.  in regards to adding that function to your unit.  the thumper has a plug to clean out any impurities that get built up inside the unit and the top of the pot needs to be sealed with teflon tape or paste like the oldtimers use

Here, I have laid out the directions of assembly of our distillation units in a step by step directory.

assembly instructions

step 1. Open package you received in mail from the top. Take all of the piece out and discard the packing materials.

step 2. Place the POT, which is the largest piece of the box on your work station and have it

so the temperature guage is facing you. (temperature guage is stored in the worm)

step 3. Place the THUMPER, and the WORM, which are the two smaller cylindrical

shaped pieces on the work station to the right of the pot the thumer is the smaller piece

that has the two vertical pieces sticking straight up, this piece goes to the right of the pot.

step 4. Place the WORM, which has the coil in it, to the right of the thumper and

connect the brass fittings.

step 5. Take the CAP, which is the long piece that gets placed on the top of the pot.

place this cap on the top of the pot with the angled copper tubing pointing towards the

thumper, connect the brass fittings.

step 6.ENJOY

.

please note that your first run will essentially clean out your still from the impurities and flux on the insides so please don't waste your time trying to clean with any other method.

please note that if steam is "leaking" out of the brass fitting connections. please take two adjustable wrenches and tighten and loosen a couple times to make sure that flare fits perfectly

please note that over time your unit may age due to oxidation. please simply request some polish and we will gladly send you some so you can clean your unit and also point you in the rightdirection to be able to buy more for the future, these are pieces of art after all. you should want to keep these clean.
